It's about real people pushing past what they thought was possible. Started in 2019, we've built something different here - a place where intensity meets purpose.
Six years of pushing boundaries and breaking limits
Started with just 800 square feet and a dream. Me and my business partner Marcus were tired of cookie-cutter gyms that didn't get what serious training actually meant. We maxed out three credit cards and converted an old warehouse space. Those first six months? Brutal. We were coaching, cleaning, and basically living here.
Hit 200 members by summer. People started seeing actual results - not just weight loss, but real performance gains. Had a local firefighter drop 40 pounds and crush his fitness test. His whole crew signed up. That's when we knew we were onto something.
Took over the unit next door and tripled our space. Added proper Olympic lifting platforms, a dedicated cardio zone, and what became our signature - the Forge Room. It's where our HIIT classes happen and honestly, it's where legends are made. Also brought on six more coaches who actually knew their stuff.
This is when Aetherthorn became more than just a gym. Members started hanging out after workouts, organizing hiking trips, competing together. We hosted our first charity throwdown and raised $15K for local youth sports programs. The vibe shifted from 'my gym' to 'our place'.
Moved to our current spot on Marine Drive. 12,000 square feet of purpose-built training space. Added recovery zones, nutrition consultation rooms, and state-of-the-art equipment. Started our athletic performance program that's now training competitive athletes from all over BC.
We're 2,400 members strong with a waiting list. But we're not getting comfortable. Just launched our online coaching platform and we're breaking ground on a second location next spring. The mission hasn't changed though - help people discover what they're actually capable of.
These aren't your average trainers - they've been in the trenches

Look, we're not gonna promise you'll love every workout. Some days are gonna suck. But here's what you will get - coaches who actually care, programming that's backed by science not trends, and a community that shows up for each other.
